Professional Experience

A finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in finance and administration. Sylvia spent the first 7 years of her career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen, where she planned, supervised and managed audit teams in the performance of statutory and special purpose audits of companies.

In 2002, she joined a German MNC specialising in the manufacture and sale of architectural hardware, where she developed her capabilities in management, business planning and forecasting, budgeting and operations accounting, risk management, internal audit & controls. In her last role as Deputy Vice President of Operations ASEAN, Sylvia was responsible for the legal, finance and administration of 2 manufacturing plants in Singapore and Malaysia. 

Sylvia is also a member of the Institute of the Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
